Bees lead 5-0 when rain postpones game in 5th

The Salt Lake Bees' Pacific Coast League game at Tacoma on Friday night was suspended by rain, with the Bees leading 5-0 in the top of the fifth inning. The game was scheduled to be completed at 6 p.m. Saturday, before the teams play Game 2 of the series.

Salt Lake starter A.J. Schugel held the Rainiers scoreless on two hits over four innings before the game was postponed. Schugel recorded seven strikeouts and gave up two walks.

The Bees scored all five of their runs in the fifth, with Roberto Lopez hitting an RBI single, before Scott Cousins and Matt Young each hit two-RBI singles.
