San Diego • San Diego State guard Jamaal Franklin is skipping his senior season to enter the NBA draft.

Franklin led the Aztecs in scoring and rebounding the last two years and helped them to three straight NCAA appearances and the first three NCAA tournament victories in school history.

He was the Mountain West Conference Player of the Year as a sophomore.

Franklin hopes to become the Aztecs' second NBA draft pick in the last three years, following former teammate Kawhi Leonard, who left after his sophomore season and now plays for the San Antonio Spurs.

The NBA draft is June 27.
