Learn to skateboard for free. And if you want to improve, the Spocks Skate Camp will help there, too.

The camp, in conjunction with the Holladay Lions, American Fork and Layton parks and recreation departments, offers free instruction on three different days at three different skateboard parks. Boys and girls ages 6-14 are invited to participate.

The first is Thursday at Guthrie Skatepark in Cottonwood Heights between 10 a.m. and noon. The second is May 18 at Greenwood Skatepark in American Fork between 1-3 p.m. and the third is scheduled for June 1 at Ellison Skatepark in Layton between 1-3 p.m.
