The stars went deep to the delight of a capacity crowd at Spring Mobile Ballpark, as Seattle defeated Colorado 4-3 in the final exhibition tuneup of spring training Saturday afternoon.

Raul Ibanez drove home the go-ahead run in the eighth inning for the Mariners as 15,411 spectators enjoyed the first Major League Baseball game played in Salt Lake City since 1970.

Seattle designated hitter and former Salt Lake Bee Kendrys Morales opened the scoring with a home run in the top of the fourth.

Colorado went ahead in the fourth on home runs by Troy Tulowitzki and Todd Helton in the fourth inning. Mariner first baseman Justin Smoak tied the game with a solo shot in the fifth. —
