The Wichita State Shockers lived up to their name.

The 9-seed ousted No. 1 Gonzaga, 76-70, at EnergySolutions Arena on Saturday night.

Gonzaga trailed at the half, but the Bulldogs put together a 12-0 run to lead by 8 at one point in the second half. The Shockers, however, would claw their way back thanks to a barrage of 3-pointers. Wichita State hit seven triples in the second half — the same number the Shockers hit in the first.

Freshman guard Ron Baker had 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in the win.

Gonzaga 7-footer Kelly Olynyk scored a game-high 26 for the Bulldogs.
