Pittsburgh • Reigning Arena Football League MVP Tommy Grady threw five touchdown passes and Utah's defense forced seven turnovers as the Blaze opened the 2013 season with a 64-33 win against the Pittsburgh Power on Saturday.

Grady finished 17 for 33 for 190 yards, with the five touchdown tosses and just one interception.

Rookie receiver Mario Urrutia also had a standout game offensively, with five catches going for 76 yards and four touchdowns.

Two of the turnovers forced by the Blaze came near Pittsburgh's goal line and helped to turn a one-touchdown advantage into a 34-14 lead in the second quarter.

Utah's defenders were as dominant after halftime, nearly pitching a second-half shutout, as the Power's only score post-break came on the final play of the game.

Utah plays its home opener at 7:30 p.m. Friday at EnergySolutions Arena against defending ArenaBowl champion Arizona.
