Fifteen starters are scheduled to return, seven on defense, including linebacker Zak Browning and defensive end James Cowser. Browning led the nation’s freshmen with an average of nearly 12 tackles a game. He also forced five fumbles and picked off a pass.
Workouts are scheduled for 4:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays and 11 a.m. Saturdays. The spring game is set for April 27 in Eccles Coliseum.
Lamb must also find a replacement for departed senior quarterback Brad Sorensen, the school’s all-time leading passer.
The 2013 season begins Sept. 29 at South Alabama.
