Real Salt Lake forward Alvaro Saborio suffered a knee injury while training with the Costa Rican national team.

Deportes Repretel, of Costa Rica, reported Saborio as doubtful for Friday’s World Cup qualifying match against the United States. But RSL officials say they have been told the injury is not that serious. Saborio suffered a bruised knee and could still be available for the match in Denver, Colo., a Real Salt Lake spokesman said.

Saborio, Salt Lake’s leading goal scorer from a year ago, has scored all three of RSL’s goals so far this season.
