Sidelined all season by an injury, Rolf Wilson bounced back over the weekend to win his 10th Alta Cup in the Alpine Ski Jumping Finals at Utah Olympic Park.

The 34-year-old from Bozeman, Mont., flew 784 feet on his three best jumps to win the gelande event by about five feet. He also had the long jump — 265.7 feet.

Josh Hansen, 23, a former U.S. Ski Team Nordic jumper from Park City, was second. Tim Magill, 54, of Steamboat Springs, Colo., was third.

Started in 1963 by Utah skiing legend Alf Engen, the gelande features competitors jumping in Alpine skiing gear. Its 50th anniversary competition will take place next March at Utah Olympic Park, in conjunction with Park City Mountain Resort’s golden jubilee and the 2014 induction ceremony for new honorees of the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame.
