Utah State lived up to its regular season billing and then some on Wednesday afternoon, racking up 3-pointers in a 78-65 win over No. 7-seeded Denver in the WAC tournament quarterfinals.

The Aggies shot a blistering 52 percent from long range, hitting 13 threes in the contest. Up by double digits early in the first half, Utah State didn’t allow much suspense in its first WAC tournament game.
Jennifer Schlott led all scorers with 21 points, getting hot early as the Pioneers focused its defense on leading scorer Devyn Christensen. Christensen and Makenlee Williams each had 16 points in the victory.
