Utah and Colorado were both short-handed due to injuries and suspensions, but the Eagles pulled out a win in Loveland, Colo., on Sunday, beating the Grizzlies 4-1.

Utah, which dressed only 11 players and finished with nine, fell in a 3-0 hole in the first frame and couldn’t recover. The Eagles dressed 13 players and finished with 12.

The Grizzlies attempted to charge back in the second period, outshooting Colorado 14-7, but still were scoreless. James Martin finally broke through for Utah, scoring at the 6:50 mark in the third period off with help from goalie Adam Morrison, who sent the puck to Kory Falite to set up the goal.

But the Eagles scored again five minutes later to seal the win.
