Utah's ski team finished the first day of the Utah Invitational in first place in Loveland, Colo., aided by Jeremy Elliot's first win of the season, in the giant slalom. Ryan Wilson and Tim Hribar finished out the podium spots for the giant slalom to give Utah a sweep of the event.

Kristiina Rove barely missed the podium for the women's team, finishing fourth in the giant slalom.

Softball

SLCC 10-14, Colorado Northwestern CC 0-3 • The No. 1-ranked Bruins shut out the Spartans in their first of two games on Wednesday, as MaCauley Flint recorded 11 strikeouts.

Kailey Christensen pitched in the second game, and Maddy Woodards' three RBIs helped the Bruins rout the Spartans.

Dixie State 5-8, Montana State 3-0 • The Red Storm swept the Billings in St. George, thanks to Anna Cue's six RBIs.

Wrestling

Utah Valley 22, South Dakota State 18 • The Wolverines won the final two matches on Wednesday to win their fourth straight dual contest.

Men's tennis

Utah State 4, Weber State 3 • The Aggies earned their first win of the season, beating the Wildcats in Logan. Utah State's Sven Poslusny and Marcus Fritz won the first doubles match 8-6, but Weber State's Oliver Good and Caio Poitena took the second, 8-7. The Aggies finished doubles play with a win from Matt Sweet and Andrew Whiting, 8-7.

USU's Poslusny and Sweet also won their singles matches, along with Fredrik Peterson. Wildcats Jakub Gewert and Ryan Garner won their singles matches, as did Poitena.
