Flagstaff, Ariz. • Southern Utah rallied to force overtime, but shot just 2-for-8 from the field and 0-for-2 from the free-throw line in the extra period in a 76-74 loss against Northern Arizona on Monday night in Big Sky Conference women's basketball.

Kimie Hawkins' free throw with 40 seconds remaining tied the game at 69, and the Thunderbirds couldn't capitalize on a Northern Arizona turnover with 14 seconds remaining. Hawkins led SUU (10-11, 4-7) with 17 points, and Carli Moreland had a game-high 16 rebounds.

Utah Valley 87, Walla Walla (Wash.) 27 • In Orem, Tina Doughty was 8 of 10 from 3-point range for a game-high 27 points as the Wolverines (9-13) crushed NAIA Walla Walla (8-22).
