Grand Forks, N.D. • Davion Berry scored 21 points and Frank Otis had 20 points and 12 rebounds as Weber State defeated North Dakota 66-51 Thursday night.
The Wildcats (14-5, 9-2 Big Sky), who opened conference play 9-0 before being swept last week at Montana State and league-leading Montana, got back on the winning track by shooting 46 percent and outrebounding North Dakota 40-28.
Josh Schuler had 12 points for the Fighting Sioux (8-12, 5-6), who had won four of their past five games.
Weber State opened the second half with an 11-0 run to take a 40-26 lead. North Dakota got within 53-48 with 6:44 remaining before Berry hit a 3-pointer that sparked a game-ending 13-3 run for the Wildcats. Berry had seven points in the spurt, and Otis had four.
Weber State hit 4 of 5 3-pointers in the second half after missing all five attempts before the intermission.
Southern Utah 79, Sacramento State 67 • Damon Heuir scored 28 points, Jackson Stevenett added 20 and Southern Utah scored 53 points after halftime to rally past Sacramento State in Cedar City.
Heuir added seven rebounds and seven assists and was 13 of 14 from the free-throw line. Heuir and Stevenett combined for all five 3-pointers for the Thunderbirds (8-12, 6-5 Big Sky), who won their third straight.
Dylan Garrity scored 18 off the bench for the Hornets (10-9, 5-6), and Mikh McKinney added 17. Sacramento State shot 32 percent from the field and had only five assists.
The Hornets led 39-26 at halftime, but a 12-2 run to open the second half got the Thunderbirds back in the game. Stevenett's 3-pointer with 9:24 to play put Southern Utah ahead 52-50, and the Thunderbirds went on to lead by as many as 12.
Westminster 85, Rocky Mountain 71 • Alex Drecksel tallied 16 points and 12 rebounds to lead the 19th-ranked Griffins (19-4, 6-3 Frontier Conference) to their sixth straight win.
SLCC 86, Colorado Northwestern 77 • Sai Tummala scored 16 points and Casey Oliverson had 14 as the 15th-ranked Bruins (20-3, 8-1 Scenic West Athletic Conference) shot 53.7 percent from the field.
