The Utah women's basketball team had three players score in double digits, but their attempt at a comeback fell through, and they lost 62-58 to Arizona in Salt Lake City.

Men's volleyball

BYU 3, UC Irvine 1 • The Cougars beat the top-ranked team in the nation in Provo.

Gymnastics

Boise State 194.875, Utah State 191.250 • The Aggies won on beam but lost the other events in their Western Athletic Conference meet in Boise.

Swimming & diving

The BYU women's team won 11 of 13 events to top Oregon State 137-95 in Provo for its first win of the season.

The Utah women's team beat Denver 166-128 in Salt Lake City, but the men's team lost to the Pioneers, 164-136.

Wrestling

Utah Valley 26, Arizona State 15 • The Wolverines rallied to knock off ASU in Orem.

Track & field

Utah State saw nine athletes finish in the top six of their events at the Cherry & Silver Invitational in Albuquerque, N.M.

Women's tennis

Utah State 7, Idaho State 0 • The Aggies swept the Bengals in their season opener in Logan.
