Logan • For the second time this season, Preston Medlin led Utah State back from the edge of defeat with a buzzer-beating tying shot and victory in overtime.
On a Saturday night when the Aggies easily could’ve ended their 11-game winning streak, Medlin hit a 3-pointer with less than a second remaining to force overtime. Another late 3-pointer and free throws helped Medlin ice the game for the Aggies, who improved to 4-0 in WAC play.

Medlin led with 22 points, while Kyisean Reed had 17 and Marcel Davis had 14. Utah State also benefitted from a season-low five turnovers, helping the Aggies pull through a less-than-stellar shooting night.
Before Medlin’s 3-pointer, Utah State had shot 23-for-59. Idaho had fared much better, as sniper Connor Hill had a team-leading 18 points.
