State colleges: Denver routs Southern Utah in men's basketball

Southern Utah men's basketball team was blown out by Denver in a 72-47 loss on Friday. The Thunderbirds had 22 turnovers in the game — 12 in the first half — which led to 35 points for Denver. The Thunderbirds outrebounded their opponent 31-22, but they couldn't recover from a 40-20 halftime deficit.

Jackson Stevenett led SUU with 12 points, and Jayson Cheesman had 10 points and six rebounds.
