Oregon RB/LB Johnny Ragin III commits to BYU

Those who follow BYU running backs coach Joe DuPaix on Twitter know the routine by now.

Whenver @CoachJoeDuPaix tweets that it is a "great day to be a Cougar," BYU has received a football commitment.

Shortly after it happened Thursday night, running back and outside linebacker Johnny Ragin III of Wilsonville, Ore., announced on Twitter that he had committed to BYU.

@Glory_IIIERA said on Twitter: "Committed to Brigham Young University. Go COUGS!"

Ragin's teammate at Wilsonville High, receiver Tanner Shipley, re-committed to BYU last month.

BYU coaches visited Ragin on Tuesday night.

He also had offers from Cal, Oregon State, Colorado and Nevada.

He is listed by Scout.com as a 6-foot-3, 215-pound athlete.

Kalolo Manumaleuna Utu, 6-2, 250, LB from Compton, Calif. (Compton Junior College)
