The Salt Lake Community College men's basketball team won its first game of the Top of the Mountain Tournament in Ephraim, topping ABDC Prep 95-71.

Sophomores Skyler Halford and Tyrell Corbin each scored 15 points, and the Bruins turned a 44-25 halftime lead into a rout.

Women's basketball

Salt Lake Community College 70, Sheridan Community College 59 • Led by freshman Natalie Parsons' 25 points, the Bruins won 70-59 in Twin Falls, Idaho.

SLCC went just 7-of-23 for 3-pointers, but five of the made treys came from Parsons. Rachel Morris also helped power the win, posting a double-double with 16 points and 13 rebounds.

The Bruins led by eight at halftime and didn't let up in the Coca-Cola Classic Invitational game. They outrebounded the Generals 59-42, including 21 offensive rebounds. Parsons had seven rebounds to go along with three assists.
