Despite a career-high 21 points from Davion Berry and multiple rallies throughout the game, the Weber State men's basketball team ultimately fell 68-67 to San Jose State in overtime on Thursday night in San Jose, Calif.

Women's basketball

Boston College 62, BYU 56 • At Chestnut Hill, Mass., Lexi Eaton had a game-high 17 points and added five rebounds and three assists, but the Cougars were dealt their first loss of the season.

San Jose State 81, UVU 72 • At San Jose, Calif., Sammie Wilson totaled 20 points and 14 rebounds, but the Wolverines were undone by a poor first half that featured 6-for-30 shooting and 19 turnovers.

UC Riverside 94, Utah State 90 (OT) • At Riverside, Calif., sophomore forward Franny Vaaulu scored a career-high 24 points, but the Aggies fell to 0-2.

Boise State 70, Weber State 56 • At Ogden, Regina Okoye led the Wildcats with 10 points, but they dropped their home opener.

Volleyball

BYU 3, Pepperdine 1 • At Malibu, Calif., four Cougars posted double-digit kills as No. 13-ranked BYU clinched a share of the WCC title with a 25-15, 23-25, 25-22, 25-21 win.

Northern Colorado 3, SUU 0 • At Cedar City, Analaine Mailoto had 12 kills, but the T-birds were swept 25-17, 25-16, 25-18.

Portland State 3, Weber State 0 • At Portland, Ore., redshirt freshman Rebecca Fuchs had eight kills, but Weber State fell 25-12, 25-22, 25-14.
