West Valley City • Andrew Engelage stopped every penalty shot he faced in a shootout, lifting the Utah Grizzlies past the Idaho Steelheads 5-4 on Saturday night at the Maverik Center in a battle of the top two teams in the ECHL's Western Conference.

Paul McIlveen and Ryan Howse scored goals 90 seconds apart to give Utah a 2-0 lead early in the first period. But Idaho responded, taking leads of 3-2 in the second period and 4-3 in the third before Utah's Bryan Cameron scored his first goal of the season to make it 4-4.

Howse and McIlveen scored during the shootout for Utah (5-1).

"All in all, it's a big win for us," Grizzlies coach Kevin Colley said.
