Aaron Dotson will miss 4-6 weeks with a stress fracture in his foot and will undergo surgery on Tuesday, head coach Larry Krystkowiak said.

This will be the second major foot injury of the season for the Utes: Senior center David Foster is lost for the year having broken his foot.

"It's tough for Aaron, but he will be back," Krystkowiak said. "This will give guys a chance to step up."

In Dotson's place will likely be Jarred DuBois, the senior transfer from Loyola Marymount.

Cedric Martin will play exclusively at the small forward spot, while freshmen Dakari Tucker and Justin Seymour will likely see their roles increased as well.

"Some of those guys are going to be important to us," Krystkowiak said. "Dakari will get an opportunity. He's probably the only bonafide small forward that we have."
