Roswell, N.M. • Breon Allen scored two touchdowns and ran for 170 yards to lead No. 10-ranked Snow College to a 45-27 victory over New Mexico Military in JUCO football Saturday.

Damond Powell caught five passes for 136 yards and three touchdowns and quarterback Christian Stewart was 16 of 33 for 223 yards and four touchdowns.

Snow, which led 45-7 after three quarters, improves to 7-1 and 5-0 in the Western States Football League.

Humboldt State 48, Dixie State 16 • In Arcate, Calif., Griff Robles was 20 of 50 for 262 yards and a touchdown in a losing effort for the Red Storm, who fell to 3-5 and 3-4 in Great Northwest Athletic Conference play.

Women's volleyball

Santa Clara 3, BYU 2 • In Santa Clara, Calif., despite a career-high 23 kills from Alexa Gray, the No. 16-ranked Cougars lost their second West Coast Conference road match of the season — 31-29, 20-25, 25-21, 13-25, 16-14.

Jennifer Hamson had 17 kills and Nicole Warner had 12 blocks, passing former Cougar Lindsy Hartsock on the school's all-time career block assists list.

BYU is 19-2 and 7-2 in conference play.

Utah State 3, Seattle 0 • In Seattle, Shay Sorenson smashed a match-high 13 kills and Paige Neves tallied 36 assists to lead the Aggies to a 25-18, 25-21, 25-21 win to maintain their lead atop the Western Athletic Conference standings.

Utah State is 15-7 and 10-2.

Utah Valley 3, CSU Bakersfield 1 • In Orem, Kalani Norris pounded 17 kills and Erica Nish tallied nine blocks and seven kills as the Wolverines won their sixth straight match and 16th consecutive at home, 24-26, 25-19, 25-19, 25-17, in Great West Conference play.

UVU is 13-7 and 4-0.

Southern Utah 3, Weber State 0 • In Cedar City, Cashaana Renfro had a match-high 14 kills to lead the Thunderbirds to their fourth straight win, 25-21, 25-15, 25-22 in Big Sky Conference play.

SUU is 9-14 and 5-7. Weber State is 8-15 and 2-10.

Montana Western 3, Westminster 1 • In Dillon, Mont., Emily Atkinson tallied 30 assists and 11 digs for her fourth straight double-double, but it wasn't enough as the Griffins lost 25-20, 23-25, 25-15, 25-20 in Frontier Conference play.

Westminster is 13-9 and 6-5.

SLCC 3, Northwestern Community College 0 • In Rangeley, Colo., fifth-ranked Salt Lake Community College earned a No. 2 seed in the Region 18 championships, winning 25-8, 25-15, 25-14 in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.

The Bruins are 22-5 and 7-2. Northwestern is 0-19.
