First, there was the post up, the spin move and the hook shot over Renan Lenz.

On another play, the freshman from West Jordan caught the ball from 10 feet, pump faked and went to the basket for a hoop.

On a third possession, Loveridge scored on another post move.

Afterwards, he was aked whether his post game could translate from high school to college.

At least in a practice setting, the 6-foot-7 Loveridge showed that him being undersized for a power forward would not be a hinderance. He looked comfortable in Wednesday's practice, and scored with ease on many trips up the floor.

Loveridge has long arms, touch and the ability to create space. It was his calling card in high school. He doesn't seem to have an issue with getting his own shot in the early stages of official practice.

"He looks comfortable out there," Utes coach Larry Krystkowiak said. "We're running some stuff designed to get the big men touches in the paint. We feel that we have guys who can score a little bit."
