San Jose, Calif. • Utah State played its best game of the season from start to finish, defeating San Jose State 49-27 on Saturday afternoon in its Western Athletic Conference opener.
The Aggies scored on their first four possessions, and led 28-3 early in the second period. Although the Spartans would make a push before halftime, USU dominated the second half.

In doing so, the Aggies recorded a school-record 13 sacks, overshadowing a great performance by the offense. Utah State moves to 5-2 on the season, and puts itself in good position to compete for the WAC title.
