As the season began to take shape, most have looked to Utah State's matchup at Louisiana Tech as the most important game of the season for the Aggies.

Well, that's pretty much wrong.

USU and the Bulldogs won't mean much if the Aggies can't get past San Jose State on Saturday afternoon. It's one of the biggest conference games for Utah State in a number of years.

Simply put, the road to the WAC title very much hinges on this result. The conference is a three team race. Everyone else is on a separate tier.

So, if the Aggies can't pull things out against the Spartans, it would take a major upset for Utah State to get back into the race.

And that makes the matchup huge for USU.
