As practice looms on Friday, Larry Krystkowiak is downshifting from recruiting mode to coaching mode.

"I'm ready to coach these guys up," the second year coach said.

That doesn't mean news won't come from the recruiting front. The Utes are expecting a decision in the coming days from San Antonio area point guard Michael Williams.

Also, Krystkowiak spent the last three days in the Bay area. He has re-affirmed an offer to 6-foot-7 small forward Noah Allen, a three-star recruit who committed and de-committed from Harvard University. While the Utes certainly have Allen as a desired prospect, so does practically every remaining school on the west coast.

Utah has a need for a big man and another wing, with three guards coming into the program next season. Krystkowiak is also expected to check out the junior college jamboree this weekend at Salt Lake Community College.
