BYU 5, Cal Poly 1 • The Cougars' women's soccer team dominated Cal Poly in Provo, with three goals within 11 minutes of each other. Carlee Holmoe and Michele Murphy each had a goal and an assist in the win. Cal Poly scored first, at 4:38, but BYU turned on the pressure with its first goal in the 18th minute. BYU also outshot Cal Poly 31-10, with 16 shots on goal to the Mustangs' four.

Utah State 1, Washington 1 (2OT) • USU lost its chance at a shutout when Washington scored in the 84th minute in a game that would remain tied through two overtime periods. Jennifer Flynn scored in the 58th minute for the Aggies, and Washington's goalkeeper was forced to make nine saves to USU keeper Ashlyn Mulford's three.

Idaho State 2, Utah Valley 1 (OT) • The Wolverines tied the game with a goal in the 87th minute, but they fell in overtime in Orem. Jaime Lyons scored UVU's only goal, but Idaho State outshot the Wolverines 27-12. UVU forced five saves, but all of them came in the first half.

Women's volleyball

Utah State 3, UTSA 1 • The Aggies beat host University of Texas San Antonio 25-22, 25-22, 23-25, 25-20 Thursday to start off WAC play with a win. Rachel Orr had 18 kills to lead USU, and Ashlan Rogers had 27 digs.

Fresno Pacific 3, Dixie State 1 • The Red Storm lost in St. George 23-25, 17-25, 25-22, 25-20 in their first PacWest game. Shannon Young led Dixie State with 12 kills, and Brita Jensen had 15 digs.

Lewis-Clark State College 3, Westminster 0 • The Griffins were swept 20-25, 24-26, 23-25 in Lewiston, Idaho. Kenzie Mitchell led Westminster with 11 kills and a .320 hitting percentage.
