Ogden • Weber State won its first game of the season Wednesday afternoon, beating Utah Valley University 1-0 in women's college soccer at Wildcat Soccer Field.

Freshman Stacy Bair, who missed the last three games because of injury, scored in the 31st minute for the Wildcats' first goal of the season.

Weber State had lost its previous three matches 1-0.

"It felt good to get a goal; we hadn't scored yet, so it was good to score one," Bair said.

Ryann Waldman made a handful of saves to earn the shutout.
