State colleges: Weber State golfers in third place at Battle of the Tetons

Weber State golfer Kyle Dearden sat in fifth place after the first two rounds of the Battle of the Tetons on Monday in Victor, Idaho, helping put the Wildcats in third place in the team standings.

Dearden shot 1-under par 143 at Teton Springs Resort in the tournament hosted by Weber State.

Wyoming's Eddie Stewart led the field at 7-under, and the Cowboys also filled the second and third individual spots to dominate the team standings at 562.

Valparaiso (586) was in second place, followed by Utah State (593) and Utah Valley (594).

USU's Tanner Higham was tied with UVU's Joey Olson for sixth place individually at 1-over 145.
