Portland, Ore. • Bright Dike scored just before halftime and the Portland Timbers beat the Colorado Rapids 1-0 Friday night to get consecutive wins for the first time this season.

Dike broke free, took a beautiful cross from Sal Zizzo and blasted the ball into the net in the 45th minute.

The Timbers (7-13-6) moved out of the Western Conference basement with the win, moving one point ahead of Colorado for eighth place.
