Tommy Grady, the Utah Blaze quarterback, capped a record season by receiving both the Most Valuable Player and Offensive Player of the Year awards from the AFL.

The former Utah Ute threw for 6,637 yards and 157 touchdowns this season. He set regular season league records for passing touchdowns, total touchdowns, passing yards, pass completions and pass attempts.

"I'm honored to receive the MVP award on behalf of our team," said Grady. "I've had the benefit of being surrounded with an amazing group of teammates and coaches. This award signifies everything that we have been able to accomplish together this season."

Grady led his team to the AFL semifinals, coming close to a title game appearance. Along the way, he became the first player in league history to throw 12 touchdown passes in a game. He set all-time playoff marks for touchdowns and pass attempts.

Grady was a first team All-Arena selection in 2012.
