College Football • Be it a sign of the program's progress or the conference's weakness or both Utah State is finally a front-runner in the Western Athletic Conference. In what will be their final season in the WAC (and perhaps the WAC's final season) the Aggies were picked second by the league's coaches and media. Coach Gary Andersen, pictured, says it's a sign his team is on the rise. "It's a credit to these kids that have worked their tails off," he said. But he also knows there's more work to do: "Being picked second is nice and all, but it doesn't put any rings on your fingers." > D2
