Minor leagues: Salt Lake beats Tucson 10-7

All nine members of Salt Lake's starting lineup had at least one hit as the Bees beat the host Tucson Padres 10-7 Saturday night in a Pacific Coast League game.

The Bees jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the top of the first on an RBI double by Kole Calhoun, a run-scoring single by Hank Conger, a two-run double by Paul McAnulty and an RBI double by Matt Long.

Eddie McKiernan (5-2) picked up the win for Salt Lake, which has now won six of its past seven games. McKiernan gave up six runs on eight hits in six and one-third innings, but at one point, he retired 11 consecutive batters. Ed Lucas, Conger and Efren Navarro each had three hits to lead the Bees, while Ryan Langerhans, McAnulty, Long and Lucas each added two runs batted in.

Pioneer League

Rockies 9, Owlz 6 • Grand Junction pounded Orem starter Pat Lowery for five runs on five hits over two innings.

Raptors 10, Chukars 5 • Darnell Sweeney and Jeremy Rathjen each had three of Ogden's 15 hits in the win at Idaho Falls.
