Anthony Davis

6-foot-10, 225 pounds, Forward, Kentucky, 19

Strengths • An outstanding rebounder and shot-blocker with an improving jumper. Unselfish and competitive. Compared to Tim Duncan or Kevin Garnett.

History • The consensus Player of the Year as a freshman at Kentucky. He set national, Southeast Conference and Kentucky records for blocks.

No. 2 Charlotte

Thomas Robinson

6-foot-10, 237 pounds, Forward, Kansas, 21

Strengths • Maybe the most polished, NBA-ready player in the draft. Outstanding athlete who likes to compete. A 7-1 wingspan helps him defend.

History • A consensus All-American from Kansas. Great improvement in college. Averaged 17.7 points last year. Second nationally in rebounding (11.9).

No. 3 Washington

Bradley Beal

6-foor-3, 207 pounds, Guard, Florida, 19

Strengths • A skilled, aggressive offensive player who is a good passer. Great range on his jumper. Physically strong and plays with intelligence.

History • Started at Florida as a freshman. Evolved into the Gators' No. 1 option on offense as the season progressed. Averaged 14.8 points.

No. 4 Cleveland

Harrison Barnes

6-foot-8, 215 pounds, Forward, North Carolina, 20

Strengths • Owns a quality jumper. Scouts like his willingness to take shots at critical times. A good rebounder and defender who works hard.

History • North Carolina's leading scorer as a sophomore. He was a second team All-American. Averaged 17.1 points and 5.2 rebound.

No. 5 Sacramento

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist

6-foot-7, 232 pounds, Forward, Kentucky, 18

Strengths • An explosive athlete and rebounder who impressed scouts with his toughness and competitiveness. Can get to the basket and finish.

History • Started as a freshman at Kentucky. Averaged 11.9 points and 7.4 rebounds. All-SEC first team and MVP of the South Regional.

No. 6 Portland

Damian Lillard

6-foot-3, 190 pounds, Guard, Weber State, 21

Strengths • He knows the game and plays unselfishly. Gets teammates involved. Can drive or hit open jump shots. An outstanding work ethic.

History • Played three seasons at Weber. Big Sky Conference MVP last year. Shot 88.7 percent from the line. Second nationally in scoring (24.5).

No. 7 Golden State

Andre Drummond

6-foot-11, 275 pounds, Center, UConn, 18

Strengths • Outstanding physically. Has a chance to be a dominating big man. Already a good rebounder and shot-blocker with a decent jumper.

History • Inconsistent and a poor free-throw shooter. Still averaged 10 points, 7.6 rebounds and 2.7 blocks with 10 double-doubles as a freshman.

No. 8 Toronto

Jeremy Lamb

6-foot-5, 180 pounds, Guard, UConn, 20

Strengths • Good athlete with outstanding size for his position. A consistent jumper with the wingspan of a seven-footer. Already a good defender.

History • Sixth sophomore in UConn history to score 1,000 points. He played a punishing 37.2 minutes per game and averaged 17.7 points.

No. 9 Detroit

Dion Waiters

6-foot-5, 215 pounds, Guard, Syracuse, 20

Strengths • An outstanding athlete who likes to attack the basket. Plays aggressively. Can score in a crowd. Possesses good ball-handling skills.

History • As a sophomore, embraced the role as team's sixth-man. Shooting improved to 48 percent. Averaged 12.6 points in 25 minutes a game.

No. 10 New Orleans

Austin Rivers

6-foot-4, 199 pounds, Guard, Duke, 19

Strengths • He likes to compete, can create his own shot and has good range on his jumper. Good basketball instincts for such a young player.

History • The son of Boston coach Doc Rivers averaged 15.5 points on 43-percent shooting as a freshman. Rookie of the Year in the ACC.
