No. 1: Are you crazy? Everybody’s forgotten about the ACC. My daughter’s powder-puff squad could go unbeaten in that league. The ACC is, like, 2-20 in BCS games over the past decade and a half. I say, give Arkansas another look.
No. 9: The Longhorns lost only once.
Committee member No. 11: How about Boise State? Haven’t they won every game they’ve played since 2003?
No. 4: Who invited Bob Kustra to this meeting? Security! Have this man removed.
No. 1: It’s still a market-driven thing.
Committee member No. 12: What about the Irish? They went 10-2, had a tough schedule, and draw huge interest and big money whenever they play in big games on national television.
Committee member No. 13: Speaking of independents, BYU’s 12-0. Should we invite them?
The entire room: (Silence, and then laughter.)
No. 2: This is impossible. We can’t fairly pick four teams.
