Like clockwork, South Jordan's Bingham High consistently produces Division I football players. Looks like this year is going to be more of the same. The latest Miner star to see his recruitment pick up is rising senior Durrant Miles, a 6-foot-4, 210-pound outside linebacker/defensive end who also excels at basketball. Miles received a scholarship offer from Boise State this past weekend, and now has three offers. Hawaii and Utah State offered Miles a few weeks ago. So far, only one Bingham senior has committed. Towering offensive lineman Keegan Hicks committed to BYU in late January. Bingham's Lowell Lotulelei, a 6-2, 300-pound defensive tackle, is probably going to be the Miners' most-recruited player this summer. He has offers from BYU, Oregon State, UCLA, Utah and Utah State. Also, the stock of Bingham wide receiver Hayden Weichers is trending upward after the Miners placed second at BYU's 7-on-7 tournament last Saturday. Weichers has offers from BYU and Utah State. Some 47 high school teams competed in BYU's 7-on-7 tournament before Mountain Crest defeated Bingham in the finals. The Miners went 8-1 at the event. Bingham also has one of the top juniors in the state in tight end Dalton Schultz. The 6-foot-6 athlete has offers from BYU, Cal, Colorado and Utah, according to Peck. Peck said a couple more of his seniors should be landing offers here shortly, including middle linebacker Drake Miller, defensive back Koa Wilson and Leki Finefeuiaki, a fullback who is transferring from Kearns.
