Southern Utah golf: T-Birds finish 6th at Santa Barbara Invitational

Southern Utah sophomore Jake Holt led three Thunderbirds to a top-20 finish and a sixth place team finish at the OGIO UC Santa Barbara Invitational Tuesday.

Holt shot a final-round 72 to move up eight spots and finish 13th at 3-over par 219 while Jeff Evans and Brad Millard finished tied for 17th at 5-over par 221 after respective rounds of 73 and 75. Long Beach State’s Xander Schauffele won medalist honors with an 8-under-par 208.
