Weber State basketball: Wildcats head to Loyola Marymount in second round of CIT

Weber State, among the 16 teams still alive in the 2012 CollegeInsider.com Basketball Tournament, advances to the second round against Loyola Marymount on Sunday at the Gertsen Pavilion in Los Angeles.

Tipoff is 4 p.m. (MT).

Loyola Marymount (20-12), which finished fourth in the West Coast Conference, defeated Cal State Fullerton 88-79 on Wednesday night in the Lions’ first-round game.

In its first round, Weber State (25-6), second in the Big Sky Conference, defeated Utah Valley 72-69 in the Dee Events Center on Tuesday.

The Wildcats, which last played LMU in 1977, are 4-0 all-time against the Lions.
