Westminster claims snowboard titles

Newry, Maine • Westminster College won first place in both the women’s and men’s team national titles in the United States Collegiate Ski and Snowboarding Championships.

The Griffins’ Claire Gentile and Alexis Sinor finished second and third behind Katie Keough of the University of Maine-Farmington in the individual women’s championships.

On the men’s individual side, Thomas Graham of Westminster finished second to Ryan Espiritu of Bates College.

Westminster edged Sierra Nevada College in both team events.
