Cedar City • Southern Utah University’s gymnastics team will be trying to gain an NCAA regional berth this weekend when it travels to Auburn for a Friday meet.
The Thunderbirds scored its third highest mark of the year last weekend, finishing second at BYU with a 193.925 mark. The Thunderbirds benefitted from the return of seniors Brooke Cersosimo and Lauren Jeffrey. The duo had been limited to the uneven bars because of lingering ankle injuries. Junior all-arounders Alyssa Click and Michaela Chernoch have also been hampered by ankle injuries.
