The Westminster College men’s and women’s basketball teams end their regular season this week.
The 16th-ranked women’s team needs one win to clinch the Frontier Conference regular season title. They need a win Thursday against Montana State-Northern or Saturday on Senior Night against Great Falls. Both games start at 5:30 p.m. and are at home at the Behnken Field House.

The Griffins enter the weekend at 18-7 overall and hold a two-game lead in the Frontier race at 11-1. They are 10-2 at home and have won seven straight and 13 of their last 14 games. They are led by Nicole Yazzie, Dana Bates, Shelby Ellsworth and Cydney Tibbitts. The women’s conference tournament begins Wednesdayk with four games at the site of the top four seeds from the regular season. Westminster has clinched home games during the first two rounds of the tournament.
The Westminster men are also at home. They play No. 22 Montana state-Northern Thursday and then meet Great Falls Saturday. Both games are in Behnken Field House at 7:30 p.m.
The Griffins are 19-9 overall and 7-5 in Frontier Conference play, good enough for third place. They could finish anywhere from second to sixth overall after the weekend games. They are led by Jake Orchard and Ben Walker. The men’s conference tournament begins Tuesday at the home site of the top four seeds.
