With a season mired in mediocrity, it's been a horribly kept secret that Utah State is looking for a few upgrades out of the spring recruiting class.

With that in mind, the Aggies have offered a scholarship to Spencer Butterfield, a 6-foot-3 shooting guard out of Yuba College.

Butterfield is a shooter, and a scorer. He's got a 42 point game under his belt this season, and is capable of creating his own shot off the dribble.

Butterfield would be a junior and have two years of eligibility. Should he choose Utah State, he would compete with the likes of Preston Medlin, Danny Berger, Mitch Bruneel, Adam Thoseby and Riley Bradshaw for playing time.

Bradshaw is an incoming recruit who will be a freshman next season.
