Utah's top recruit in the class of 2013 can now add two more SEC powers to the list of programs that are after him.

This week, Auburn and Alabama extended offers to Cottonwood quarterback Cooper Bateman, The Tribune has learned. The Colts' junior previously received offers from Florida, Colorado, Maryland, Utah, BYU and Boise State.

Between Auburn and Florida, programs that have won three of the last six BCS national championships have offered Bateman. Both the Tigers (Cam Newton) and Gators (Tim Tebow) have had quarterbacks win the Heisman Trophy since 2007.

Auburn offensive coordinator Scot Loeffler coached Tom Brady at Michigan, while Arkansas produced New England Patriots rookie quarterback Ryan Mallett.
