It has been assumed for more than a year now that BYU offensive lineman Matt Reynolds would be taken in April's NFL Draft. The four-year starter was even mentioned as a possible first-round pick, although his stock has dropped some over the course of the last year. Will any other Cougars be drafted? Don't rule out defensive tackle Hebron "Loni" Fangupo. According to this list put out by the NFL Scouting Combine, both Reynolds and Fangupo will take part in the combine in Indianapolis, Ind., from Feb. 22-28. They are among more than 300 college football players invited to this year's combine. Coaches, executives, scouts and medical personnel from all 32 NFL teams will be at the combine to evaluate the players who are eligible for the draft.——————- Here are some BYU basketball news and notes to get you through until Saturday, when the Cougars (20-6) return to action for the first time in a week by playing host to Pepperdine at 4 p.m at the Marriott Center. The BYU women take on No. 21 Gonzaga on Thursday night (7 p.m.) in the Marriott Center as coach Jeff Judkins team tries to get back in the NCAA Tournament picture. Should be a great game, with the WCC league lead on the line. One BYU player who isn't struggling from the 3-point line as much as the others is backup point guard Craig Cusick. The Orem High product went 2-for-4 against Portland and is a respectable 3-for-9 in the 6-game stretch that has seen the entire team go 17-for-101 from beyond the arc. Cusick said the shots will start falling. "I think so, especially because our big guys get so much attention. So I think for all the guards on our team [that's true]. Noah [Hartsock] and Brandon [Davies] have done an excellent job inside, so I think any of us, when we are running our offense, when we are running full speed, we are going to get shots. So that's fortunate for us, because of our big guys. It helps the other players on our team."
