Some have opined that the specter of Peyton Manning’s future in Indianapolis has threatened to overshadow the Super Bowl being played there.
My response, to borrow a catchphrase from Jerry Seinfeld, would be, "Not that there’s anything wrong with that."

This is, after all, a Super Bowl about nothing.
If you’re not a Patriots or Giants fan, do you have any genuine enthusiasm for this game? The knee-jerk reaction is, "Of course — it’s the Super Bowl!" But that’s merely a visceral response to our programmed affection for the institution.
Do you have any genuine enthusiasm for this game?
Of course not. We already saw it in 2008, and v2.0 can’t possibly top the original.
Yes, I know, we’ve all been duly informed this is not a rematch, as only 23 of the 106 players involved are the same, but all I hear is "yada, yada, yada."
I’ll watch, because it’s the Super Bowl.
But mostly, I’ll be hoping for a Peyton Manning commercial.
