SUU runner gets prestigious invite

Cedar City • Southern Utah University’s Cameron Levins will break away from collegiate competition this weekend after being invited to the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix in Boston.

He has been invited to compete in the 3,000 meters against athletes from Kenya, Ethiopia and others around the world.

The event will be broadcast on ESPN2 Sunday between noon and 2 p.m.

The rest of the Thunderbird men’s track and field squad will compete in Albuquerque, Nm> and Flagstaff, Ariz., this weekend.
