Short update while we are waiting on the announcement of the last few players on Utah's board. The ones remaining of particular interest are Moana Ofahengaue, a linebacker out of Lehi, Alphonso Marsh, a corner out of Dominquez H.S. in Compton, Calif., and Raymond Ford, a corner out of Gardena, Calif. All of them will make their announcements later today. Word is the Utes feel Marsh and Ofahengaue are solid for them, but even without those signatures Utah has done well. Utah's class has been ranked in about the middle of the Pac-12, which might be a nice thing to brag about, but anyone who follows college football well enough knows rankings mean little. It's what the guys do when they get here. That being said, it appears the Utes met their most immediate needs, loading up on corners and linemen. A lot of them were highly ranked at their position, including Hiva Lutui, Junior Salt, Carlos Lozano, Justin Thomas and Jeremiah Poutasi. Surely some of those guys will live up to their billing and bring immediate help. The Utes kept quarterback Travis Wilson in the fold and picked up two receivers in Brian Allen and Delshawn McClellon. Two players who signed earlier, running back Kelvin York and defensive lineman Niasi Leota, could make some of the biggest impacts and shouldn't be overlooked. Of the 24 players signed thus far, five are planning to go on their mission before enrolling. That speaks to the depth the Utes are building.
