Weber State’s Lillard on Wooden list

The nation’s leading scorer, Weber State junior guard Damian Lillard, was selected named to the John Wooden Award Midseason Top 25 list.

The list was released Tuesday by The Los Angeles Athletic Club.

Lillard, averaging 25.5 points a game, has helped guide Weber State to a 14-3 record, 6-0 start in Big Sky Conference. Lillard ranks third nationally with 3.5 3-point goals made a game and is ninth in free throw percentage (90.8 percent).

The Oakland, Calif., native ranked fourth all-time among Weber State scorers with career 1,583 points.

Lillard has also been selected as a finalist for the Bob Cousy Award, recognizing the nation’s top point guard.
