The Alaska Aces beat the Utah Grizzlies 3-1 in an ECHL game Friday night in Anchorage.
The league-leading Aces took a 3-0 lead in the second period before Utah’s Paul McIlveen scored his 14th goal of the season in the third period.

Shane Owen stopped 26 of 29 in the losing cause for the Grizzlies. It was another short-handed night for Utah as the Grizzlies dressed just 13 skaters.
